Administrative Staff

Heath Moser

Chief Executive Officer

Heath attended South Adams High School and later graduated from Taylor University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Systems. He started working in the Boys & Girls Club of Adams County organization in 2014 as the Decatur Unit Director. In 2018, he became the Executive Director of the organization. Heath loves working with children and debated in college between getting a business or education degree. He feels that working at the Club has allowed him to combine those passions and strengths in his role as CEO.

Amy Bertsch

Chief Financial Officer

Amy attended South Adams High School and graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. She started working with the Boys & Girls Club of Adams County organization in 2011 as the Executive Assistant. In 2012, she became the Director of Finance of the organization.

Andrea Hough

Program Director

Andrea graduated from South Adams High School in 2009, and has completed coursework in Special and Elementary Education. She started as a Program Staff at the South Adams Club in 2012 and has served at both organizations as a Unit Director from 2016-2021. Andrea feels that her time as a part-time helped her become a better leader at the organization. She has always enjoyed working with children and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth in our community. As Program Director, she looks forward to serving both organizations dually, and focusing on programming that will support student learning and emotional well-being.

Julie Wheeler

Decatur Unit Director

 Julie graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education at Ivy Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Indiana Wesleyan University. This dual focus on business and education provided a wealth of experience that was used in various roles from being a childcare provider, preschool teacher, director, teacher assistant, and substitute. Julie’s fondness is seeing that “A-ha” moment with a child, building relationships with families, and being a support for her employees.

Abby Ruble

South Adams Unit Director

Abby graduated from Bellmont High School in 2012. She continued her education at Grace College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry in 2015. Abby has enjoyed working with youth in different areas from church youth groups, summer camps, and afterschool programs. Her experience and skills in the youth field brings passion to her work in supporting youth and families in the community.

    Boys and Girls Club of Adams County Legal Notice

    Boys & Girls Clubs of America is a national organization that serves local, independent member organizations (the "Local Boys & Girls Clubs"). Together Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Local Boys & Girls Clubs form one of the nation's largest and fastest growing networks of local youth organizations dedicated to promoting the health, social, educational, vocational and character development of youth throughout the United States of America and around the world.

    Each Boys & Girls Club organization is a separate legal entity, is governed by an independent, volunteer board of directors, executive committee or other governing body and is solely responsible for its own affairs, including, but not limited to, matters of safety; compliance with federal, state and local laws; physical facilities; uses of technology; finances; policies and programs and personnel policies and decisions.
    Each Local Boys & Girls Club has sole authority to hire, to terminate, to prescribe the duties of and to establish the terms of employment of its employees and officers.

    The national Boys & Girls Clubs of America has no authority with respect to employment policies or decisions of Local Boys & Girls Clubs. Accordingly, each Local Boys & Girls Club controls its own affairs and Boys & Girls Clubs of America does not control and cannot be held responsible for the actions of Local Boys & Girls Clubs.
